The third book in my first series, Out of The Equation had a job to do. It had to pick up where Out of Their League left off and continue the adventures of the cast of characters.
By this point, I had joined a group on Facebook called 20Books, recommended to me by Daniel Hurst, whose domestic psychological thrillers you may have read (if not go and look him up on Amazon). Each November, 20Books holds the largest gathering of independent (self-published) authors in the world and successful people from every aspect of the industry give their time for nothing to pass on their wisdom. So I booked my place in January and gave myself the deadline of finishing Out of The Equation before I went so that I could sell paperback copies at RAVE (Readers and Authors Vegas Event) after the conference finished. I succeeded! The writing and editing was done by early October and I managed to schedule Nick to design the cover in time to get some copies printed before I flew out.
